Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Another ancient and overdue review - Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfecter Concealer is already discontinued by the brand (but you can still find them at big lots). The concealer features a subtly pearly highlighter at one end and a concealer at other, each with a volume of approximately 3ml.

The highlighter (which I don't usually need since I don't have big patch of dull skin to lighten up)  is a pinkish white nude without any shimmer, at least I can't see them. The formula is a tad runny but it smooths out without giving cakey mask.
The concealer is creamy, rich (enough that each dot will cover the targeted acne mark) and blends out just well enough (it doesn't look patchy or diffuse into nothing as soon as it's blended). The coverage might be a little too sheer if you are looking for full coverage but it's competent enough for acne marks and other mild hyper-pigmentation. The staying power isn't great (only around 4-5 hours before it starts to rub off) but retouching is painless as all I need is dot-and-blend.
The shade I picked (the only one left in HEB shelf, probably the lightest shade) seems a little light and chalky but the formula blends down naturally and evenly once it's on the face. Overall: Not an amazing product for long-wear or full coverage but it's good enough for my daily need.

  1. I been wanting to try out this concealer for ages, but never got a chance since we dont have here in Finland. I like these types concealers but I found they work best after some time, when the consistency get thicker over time :D thats when they stay on the skin longer
