Whomee Lip Treatment

2019-2020 must be the years of Japanese Indie makeup, while the big names (Kose, Kanebo and Shiseido)collectively flopped, newer and smaller brands are as popular as ever...While Celvoke is taking department stores by storm, Whomee seems to be the star of drugstore (technically it's only available at specialty stores but it has the same drugstore price point). In a mere a year and 3 months, the brands expanded significantly and now even has its spinoff called BabyMee, a even more affordable sub-brand.

Judging from the state of stock in store, Whomee lip treatment is one of their star products (the one that's always out of stock was their strawberry colored mascara) and of course I bought two (in case I really love it) for science.
All Whomee items have the cute pink box (the boxes for their color makeup have distinct painting) and inside there is some cute illustation...
Whomee Lip Essence is a thicker gel gloss (more jelly-looking than Ettusais) that reminds me those old school Lancome Juicy Tubes. The formula covers lips well, doesn't travel (during sleep) and does a reasonably good job soaking off dead skin. A thick gel formula is a perfect for frigid winter since it stays where it is and doesn't stick to hair as much. For 1300 yens (100yen more expensive than Ettusais) this is well worth the price, I personally prefer the more fluid, skin fitting formula of Ettusais, which seems more moisturizing as well.
Whomee lip Treatment as a base for Revlon Lip Butter in Sorbet (oldie but goodie).

  2. Ah, I've been wanting to try the brand but at this point it's practically impossible. The eBay price is rather insane, right?

    1. Yeah the markup is crazy (but once upon a time I saw their small eye brush with only 5 dollars markup) their Kumano brushes are really well designed considered they are only pony and from $18-23 for eyed and around $30 for face...The eyebrow brush gives a natural fluffy look to the brow that I just love.
