Shiro Lip Butter in Pumpkin Glitter

Last summer, Shiro cosmetics went through a little revamp (because that's what Japanese brands do). Knowing that the chic matte gray packaging would be replaced with shiny black plastic, I hurried and got another one of their Ginger Lip Butter.
Being the shameless trend follower, I got another one of those burnished orange kind of shade.
The particular shade is 9C10 (all of their lip products only have alphanumeric code as names.
This particular shade is toasted pumpkin with a moderate opacity and ton of glitter (in purple, fuchsia and orange). I was hoping they would be subtle (the kind that makes clear gloss look more jelly) but the amount of glitter actually makes the gloss thicker, goopier and rather flashy.
The formula is similar to the shimmer-less shade: Moisturizing (less so since there are all those fillers), plumping and comfortable. The thicker formula and stronger pigmentation also help it stay longer.
When the shine wears out a little. I don't love it but I will be wearing it as lip treatment at the very least (No highend gloss goes to waste in my household).
Look my first tube is almost used up (I can't dig any deeper). I will get a clear red one once the store is opens up again (I hope it does).

    1. Yes it has a store in NYC(block away from Chinatown!) a lot of their stuff (makeup) is a wee overpriced for how they look but their body care is so pleasant to use. When it comes to lotion a pleasant feel is more important than its potency...

  2. I think the color looks great on you! I could do without the shimmers though. I envy your vicinity to NYC with all the cool stores :(

    1. I really hope those niche stores and Japanese hair salons are sticking around....I am so worried because in my own town there are already many mom and pop stores closing due to higher rent (many NJ landlord want to charge nyc rate).

    2. That's a shame. I wish the landlords would realize that if they squeeze hard enough, the stores will close, which means the properties will become vacant and expensive to maintain either way. Shortsighted.

    3. In my town, it wasn't that bad until a developer in my town bought a small block and built a "luxury condo"...I guess the artificially inflated the property price now the latino owned laundromat went out of business...And I saw an ad for a room in a house, asking for 1200 (in NJ).

I have seen so many stores (like indie designers) going out of business in Soho. Not sure what those people are thinking...
