Nuxe Prodigieuse Dry Oil

As a person with newly acquired dry skin (thin skin heavily influenced by surrounding temperature), I have accumulated a few bottles to help me get through the year. Nuxe Huile Prodieuse is another one of their star products (aside from their lip balm), I have tried it many times as Duane Reade and finally caved in when I spotted a sale on.

Huile Prodigieuse is a light oil in a golden tint. The light texture is probably due to the fact that it has a fatty alcohol derivative as main ingredients (hence it is not as natural as it's marketed and can potentially comedogenic). What attracted me is the scent, a grown up perfumy one resulted from fragrance and a combination of essential oils. It's conplex and musky but not heavy. It smells very much like my imagination of classy French ladies (something you wear with white blouse, simple gold jewelry, red lips and a silk scarf).

A few drops is perfect for smoothing the dry flakes on my limbs, leaving a matte finish and lingering fragrance. For the last few days, I have been using it on damp hair as a leave-in conditioner. It makes damp hair much easier to comb through and prevents the ends from poofing out like a broomstick. Overall, I do like the lightness (thanks to the dropper opening) and it is effective at what it does. The down side that the fragrance is strong enough to clash with other fragrant skincare items and it can get cloying during muggy summer.

Here is the ingredient list copied from Nuxe. I thought the first one is supposed to be Isopropyl?

Sopropyl Isostearate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Coco-caprylate/caprate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (sweet Almond) Oil, Corylus Avellana (hazel) Seed Oil, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Parfum/fragrance, Tocopherol, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (olive) Fruit Oil, Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (rosemary) Leaf Extract, Hypericum Perforatum Flower/leaf/stem Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (tomato) Fruit/leaf/stem Extract, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool [n1005/e].
