If you are a frequently visitor TJ-maxx or Marshall you probably know that they have been getting a steady and sizable (at least for this kind of store setting) stock of TheBalm products. While the cosmetics are uninteresting (Another golden peachy pink blush, moss green eyeshadow, red stain or champagne highlighter ...That's groundbreaking.) and often picked over, you can always find some skincare kits being taped up like mummies and (more importantly) on crazy sale. Anyway, I was able to get a set including face cream, cleanser and toner, for 10 bucks (it doesn't take a math major to figure out how good the deal is) and today I will be reviewing the toner.
TimeBalm (theBalm's skincare branch) White Tea Alcohol-Free Toner is a gentle astringent designed for normal to dry skin. The texture and look of this are not too different from those of water (which made me wonder why should I even bother) and when applied with cotton ball, it cleanses, refreshes and plumps the skin a bit, making cream application easier. I suppose it would make a great basic if it didn't smell exactly like a hospital/clinic ...
What a shame about the scent. I don't usually use toners cos they just don't do anything for my skin.
ReplyDeleteI've only ever run into one TheBalm product (some palettes) but they were all broken and terrible. I was sad ; w ; . Is it weird that the hospital smell makes me want it more?
