Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach

I have gotten quite a few of these Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks in the past, while my initial purchases were too garish and mask-like (maybe it was because I tried it in the death of winter), I am happy with the shades I got subsequently so it's a little disheartening to see many of them getting sacked (to make space for their lip butter).
Anyway, I picked up Peach (a soft shimmery coral with a touch of beige, at least it's not yellow enough for me to call it "peach") at CVS last year, right before it got discontinued. Just like all other Revlon Colorburst lipsticks, it's smooth, rich and very wobbly that it broke from the base after two uses. I suppose I can always push the stick back to the center but the squashy bullet is never a pretty sight.

(If the folks at Revlon is reading this, you guys seriously need to bring back this formula...so natural, comfortable and wears so well!)
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach - The formula of this is a little drying and maybe chalky (so it looks  pretty horrible when my lips are dry and flaky), but thanks to the chalkiness, the lipstick also stays on well on the lip, without slipping off right away.

Overall: Love it (I definitely prefer it over their lip butter)...I guess it's the same thing with sheer red tint, I just don't hate coral lipstick.

  1. Love the color, so pretty. Shame about the formula, though.

  2. I used to love this shade, but you're right about the flakiness issue :(

  3. I adore your blog! I've found what all the Coral awesomeness been looking for. :)
    Thank you, Citrine. Keep posting.
Can you do one in which you feature all your favourite coral makeup products for spring? That's the only colour that suits me. With pink I look like a fake doll. :( Shame.

    Lot's of love!

    1. I am doing one about orange blushes (have it planned out for quite a while but I never bother writing) and 90% of them did ended up looking coral...as for lipsticks. It will be hard (a possibly a little pointless) because I really do like most of the coral lipsticks I have.

  5. I wish they weren't getting rid of these - I much prefer them to the lip butters. Peach especially is one I love. xD Peach is definitely a misnomer though.

  6. This shade looks good against your skin tone.

  7. I am not fond of Peach cause of the drying formula but it is a shame Revlon sacked most of the colours in the Colorburst line. The lip butters have too much slip and they're not even that moisturizing either :\

    1. The funny part is that in my CVS, the shades that they kept are either the ones I hate or ones that I don't even plan to try. Anyway, I actually found the l'oreal colour riche balm very moisturizing (and the best part is that I don't finish one fifth of a tube on one single application, like how lip butter are running on me), it's just that the shade selection is too small and muted.
