L'Oreal HIP High Intensity Eyeshadow Pigment

I have a few pots of these L'Oreal HIP High Intensity Pigment since 2010 (then totally forgot about them as I became increasing lazy with eye makeup). Basically, they are like MAC pigments that can be used on eyes, face and lips (people actually wear lime blush?) when mixed with a medium (such as saline solution or clear gloss). Obviously, I just use them as loose eye shadow since the four shades I picked wouldn't work elsewhere.

Intrepid - Taupe brown with a strong teal flash
Beckoning - Medium denim blue with a bit of teal
Striving - Warmer teal with golden lime shimmer
Rebel - Shimmer golden lime (like Golden Delicious apple)
The texture of these are smooth and the shadow is rather pigmented (as expected from the L'Oreal HIP line) but (as with most loose shadow) the shadow itself has no staying power by itself and it gets pretty messy every time I opened the pots (the opening on the sift is too big and there is no inner lid to seal it completely).

  1. I have five of these and I really like them - they're very pigmented, but very messy. So messy it's stupid, but I still like using them.

  3. Yah I have to agree with the packaging in these loose shadows are not the greatest. They get really messy, so I have to skip using them all together. What a shame tho :(
