More Makeup from Wet n Wild Spring 2012

Apparently different Walgreens branches (even though I called the last one my local one, it was actually at the other side of the town) carries different collection for Wet n Wild spring 2012. The branch I visit today (reachable by bike) has a slightly larger display and more interesting products...
Four new shades of Megalast Lip Color in a Plummy red (the name has Cherry in it but it looks slight plummy to me), medium bright pink (meh...), orange red  *squee* and pink coral *squee*. I have actually never tried the Megalast lipstick from Wet n Wild since its release back in 2010 but that's about to change...I want three of these already!
I picked up one shade of the Megashield Lip Color (the orange red called Salsa Course) thinking the rest is too frosty but it seems that there are more shimmer-free brights in the bigger display.

Now I have my eyes on the soft coral (It's a Girl) and another orangey shade called Lolly Popstar...But I guess I will have to give the one I have a thorough test before caving in for more...
The whole Megalast salon nail color range is also bigger. I already have the taupe (called wet cement) coral and the orange jotted down on my mental to-buy list.
Five new shades of Color Icon eyeshadow singles are also released for 2012 and  none of them caught my eyes yet. There is a new Ultimate mineral loose bronzer in the display but it doesn't look any different from the old one. This time, the lightest shade of Coloricon bronzer looks slightly less pasty but it still seem like it will be a lot lighter than many people's summer skin tone.

  2. I own It's a Girl and it's more of a watermelon pink. It's not frosty, but does have a sheen to it that I don't think ever flatters a bright lip. I pair mine with a gloss, though and it's perfect. Cherry Picking leans more fuchsia and Don't Blink Pink (the shade in the mega last stand) is actually a deep, hot pink. It's very much like NYX lip pencil in Hot Pink.

    1. Now based on what you said (and maybe one other online review), I might just stick to the one I have. For some reasons I just hate brights with shimmer unless it has an sheer watery sheen.

    1. Haha, you asked the wrong person as my blog never got popular. Right now I have around 400 subscribers via Google and 30 via bloglovin and has never been sent any cosmetics from PR company to review (OK, I have gotten 2 lotions and some false eyelashes for the past three years). So I guess my popularity is worse that many bloggers who started out in 2011. (P.S. And my blog is almost 4 years old).

    2. well, i bet you have tons more followers than i do and a bunch more comments...does the popularity develop overtime?

    3. Readership does develop overtime, as long as you keep on blogging what interests you, (more importantly, have fun doing it) people with similar interests will find your blog.

Popularity, in the other hand, is not always a direct product of your time and effort. I believe it takes more tactics, marketing and networking than just plain content. A pretty, young (photoshop helps, lol) blogger doing all sorts of celebrity-inspired face of the day is a lot more likely to "get popular" compared to an average-looking one.

  6. I don't feel very much for the eye shadows too, BUT THE LIPPIES!!!! The orange-red/corals are gorgeous, and I hear the lightest shade of the bronzer is the renowned Acapulco Glow (Discontinued)!

I am a new follower:) I am starting to blog more frequently on my blog which is quite old, but would love it if you could pop by and take a look and subscribe if you like it!
