Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Stormy Pink

For the next (or past?) few weeks, this blog might seems like an ad site for Revlon(no, I am not paid or provided with these products) since I have accumulated so many of them since last year and I think it's time to finish those reviews up before the arrival of summer collections (from which I will haul more items!)...
Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Stormy Pink is one of fall 2010 releases from the Suede Rhapsody collection and is now added to the permanent range (along with several lipsticks from the Fire and Ice). I have been wanting to try their matte lipsticks for quite a while (the lipstick tube has that nice matte finish and I have heard good reviews on these from several bloggers), the bold shades from the Suede Rhapsody collection finally pulled the trigger for me.
Pink Storm is a vibrant blue pink (almost fuchsia but the matte finish keeps it from being too bold, which for many is a good thing)I am not sure if the lipstick is supposed to be really muted, the pigmentation seems a bit weak that it took me quite a few layers just to do an arm swatch.
On the lips, Stormy Pink has a feel that I am not too fond of (then again, I am not a fan of Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick anyway...their glosses/Colorburst are different stories): it feels thin, dry and a bit crumbly...kind of in a dough-y way(a poorly done mixture of flour and water). It's not horrible(I hate their pearl formula though) but since my very first few matte lipsticks, the Max Factor Vivid Impact lip color, all have wonderful smooth and velvet-like texture (and I got them for around 2 to 3 dollars a piece), anything less good would just pale in comparison.

Overall: It's still a decent lipstick in terms of color(Bravo to Gucci Westman, Revlon has turned from a auntie brand to a hip brand after having her) and finish (never mind, the finish sucks) but...I am just very particular about lip products (especially after having tried so many of them), and this is not what I like my matte lipstick to be.
