Milani Radiant in Purple - Back to the 80s

Meet my new favorite (Wet n Wild, move over!), Milani Nail Polish Radiant in Purple.

First off let's hear the bad part: I don't like the formula of this nail polish: I need at least 3 coats to get an even coverage, the formula is so thick that you can actually see the pigment drifting down due to gravity (luckily, on the first layer only) and since the formula/pigmentation are not good enough, it's not that non dominating hand friendly and it can pile up a bit when you are trying to get the paint job done.

Beside the not quite China Glaze formula. The slight dirty cream purple color is quite pretty. It's bright enough to give a pop of color yet it still managed to look a bit "neutral", in a sense that it doesn't clash with my skin tone, which turns purple and ashy at times/all the time...

There is something quite old-school about the color. Actually, the whole Welcome Back Color Collection totally reminds me of the 80s (Although I personally have no clue what it was like... I am kind of young.) And if you actually Google 80s, this is one of the top results.

Cool, isn't it? Anyway, since I am totally happy with this one, I think I will be digging out other color from this collection as well.

  1. Hey it's like a blurple! Haha. I like the color in the second picture's lighting. I'm not sure how this would look on me though.

  2. This is a very pretty shade! too bad about the formula, though.

It's actually more mauve than blue compair to all the purple polish I have, in dim lighting it also looks a bit muddy/grayish, which is a very popular shade for fall...but other time it's quite vibrant though.

Any I think the shade isn't too picky with skin tone, it still look pretty cool on my
feet (which is like 10 shades darker than the rest of my body)

The formula for the purple shade isn't the worse, I got the blue one and it's driving me nut. (The blue one is such a pretty shade paired with crappy formula)
