I don't review sample that often (or at all?) because I like to have something for a while before giving the final verdict here, gift with purchase mini are just so small that I forget about them. Beside that, I actually think that quality wise, some mini are not as good as the real stuff. (Like Lancome Juicy Tubes, Estee Lauder Lipsticks and clinique lipsticks...)
But for some reason these two tubes of mascara happens to be in my goodies bag when I was taking pictures of other junks. So I might as well add a review
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara
Mom gave me a shadow palette from the brand and it still looks auntie to me,( although the shades are all soft pastels) ...Estee Lauder always gives me a auntie vibe so I have never been really interested in their cosmetics.
The wand is cone shaped and the mascara looks quite gooey. But it's relative clean once it goes on and it does lift my lashes a tad bit. And looks relatively natural. (Read, looks unnatural when you are closed up, just like loads of other mascara out there)
Clinique High Impact Mascara
I never get it when non-French brands trying to sound French in their brand, like adding "ique" instead of "ic" or having a name consist of a French then an English word...
And I had some frgrance free lip gloss that obvisouly need something to cover up the bad smell...So I don't really like this brand.
The tube is in that test tube brush shape (which I kind of like). The mascara lengthens relatively well yet managed to look somewhat natural. But it also chips. I kind of like this because it doesn't smear or smudge as much, as I have very teary eyes...
They are good to toss in a bag I guess but I don't see the point buying the full sized one.

I have the sample of the Clinique one too and it works ok but not vavavoom lashes! I dont' plan to purchase full size too :)
ReplyDeleteI never get full-size ones. Never XD! Because I buy so many palettes and/or sets, I can just use the minis I get from them ;). Or sometimes people give me mascara as a gift, lol.
ReplyDeleteI had a mini Clinique though and I quite liked it :).
I tried a sample of the Estee Lauder mascara and it made my lashes look very natural. I prefer mascaras that give a more dramatic effect, so I'm not gonna buy the full sized one.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ creepy picture! Glad your lashes are back.
