Being a staple of Japanese drugstore lip care, DHC releases limited edition Lip Cream each year. Since it never hurts having a few of them around, I decided to try their colored version. Look at the Hello Kitty and Strawberry prints!
The texture of the color lip cream is exactly like the original. It's wax based but very smooth and easy to glide (thanks to olive oil). Although it's not heavy, it feels rather soothing and moisturizing on the lips.
Strawberry Red is a very light warm red - It makes your look healthier but the pigment level is so faint that I wouldn't categorize it as lipstick. For younger girls who go to strict schools, you can totally get away with it.
Cherry Pink (with my melody) is a berry pink that's warm leaning.
The tint is so light that it only gives a tiny bit of color. While I like that Japanese colored lip balm are never clown bright. This is a little too subtle that I prefer no tint at all to this.
Arm swatch...they kind of look the same.
I just used up a regular tube. I didn't know about these LEs! So sutble and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThey do LE on these kind of boring staple every year. Last year it was star war and toy stories. This year there is peanuts...The tinted version is on their permanent range too...Although the effect is too light for me.
DeleteAhhh WANT!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can do without it. I should have went for the untinted version with kitty print.
DeleteOuuu I like. Been eyeing the Costco 3 pack of the original DHC lip balm but I really already own like 10 lip balms I am trying to work thru
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't hurt having more of those around...I wish I have costco membership (coworker sometime bring me there for chicken).
