Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss in All Day Seduction

Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss ($5)  in All Day Seduction is a burnt-reddish orange with a raspberry base and golden shimmer through out (to make life easier, I will just call it coral). It's marketed as a long-wearing lip color with a useless claim like "last up to (the very most you will get is) six hours" that it managed to fulfill, because it managed to last for an hour or two, which is indeed under 6 hours.
Beside the sleek, tough and relatively scratch-proof tube (the metallic coating on the lid chipped a bit though), I do like the slated applicator, which is just fuzzy(absorbent), springy/stiff, big and long enough to grab enough product with each dip. Of course, I like to redip for more because I like to load on glosses (which will give them more reservoir to run out/fade).
Burnt orange rose side by side: Revlon Peach Parfait, Max Factor S-x Kitten, Revlon Rose Gold, All Day Seduction (which smells just like the moisture renew lipstick, like an old-fashioned face cream), looking more raspberry with just one layer.

Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss in All Day Seduction ( 2 layers) on lips- The gloss has glide that's reminiscent of silicone-rich hair serum (which I, by the way, abhor...) but it's viscous enough to stay within the lip boundary. As for lasting power, it's just like a regular non-runny drugstore gloss, the color reduces in half within and hour but the stickiness do stay  (as a protective film) for 3-4 hours or so. It's neither long-lasting or short wearing but I didn't expect much from glosses anyway.

Overall: I like the applicator and maybe the smell...that's it. The shade seems warm and autumn-appropriate (but combined with the wet finish) is just too much for me. Did I mention that I hate the texture?

  1. I think the colour is very pretty. It's a shame about the texture though.
