Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipstick in Disco Pink is the third one I have gotten from the range (I will go through all of them...eventually). The bright blue-based pink lipstick contains a ton of silver micro-glitter, sheer-but-buildable texture, a super glossy sheen (that's promised by the brand but not present in all shades) and pleasant fruit scent.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick High Shine in Disco Pink on lips
Overall: It's a pretty shade that's perfect for party but potentially garish for daily use (thanks to the disco ball full of glitter). Among the brights, Fruit Punch and Coral Lustre seems a lot more wearable, at least to me.
Very Sexy, Very 70's!
ReplyDeletelooks great on you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sparkly pink! Are you wearing lipgloss over it?
ReplyDeleteOoh so glittery! And...disco-y. haha. Still looks nice on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the base color but micro glitters are a bit much for me. Maybe for night like you said and not daytime.
ReplyDeleteB:
ReplyDeleteIt's the lipstick by itself. (For all of my lip swatch pictures, only the product being reviewed is worn. If I have lip balm underneath or gloss on top/as a base, I would show it on a separate swatch image).
Thanks for clarifying that Citrine - it's just the lipstick itself looks so glossy because of the glitters!
ReplyDeletewhat lipbalm do you use? my lips are always dry no matter how many water i drank+lipbalms i use. and do u have any routine u do for lips? thanks =)
ReplyDeleteNYC lip slider and L'Oreal jelly balm (both discontinued)are the ones I am using, smith minted rose also works rather well (applied thickly and wiped off after a few hours). My "secret" to swatch friendly lips is just waiting for a great-lips-day to take the pictures, really.
ReplyDeletepretty!
