Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick 02 Kyoganoko

Having purchased two of the SUQQU Creamy Glow Moist lipsticks and been positively underwhelmed (It turns out that I was just not quite used to high end lipsticks and was expecting them to perform 5x betters than drugstore ones). I decided to expand my research (well, my saving account has pathetic interest rate...) into the other side of the pond. After all, I much prefer the UK exclusive palettes over the standard, shimmery line.

The whole range of original Creamy Glow line is long. Aside from a deep red and vamp, most of the shades end up look like each other (being mostly creamy medium pinks). I decided to go with 02 Kyoganoko, as it looks a little more coral and brighter than the other medium pinks.

Ahh, Suqqu is definitely my favorite highend lipstick packaging. The presenation is an understated luxury very different from the huge muscle-builders from YSL or Bobbi Brown.
The Creamy Glow has an interesting formula: It's incredibly creamy and soft that each swipe glides like butter on a hot pan. Despite it's slippery texture, it can be applied straight on (without travelling outside of month).

The formula is highly pigmented that full coverage is easily achieved with one swipe. The effect is an untra-thin lacquered look that fits the lips surface like a weightless  shrinkwrap.  As comfortable as it is, I can only wear it on very humid days as it clings on to every lip line I have.
SUQQU Creamy Glow Lipstick in Kyoganoko is unlike anything I have ever had (not saying the formula is out of this world, more like it's not something that attracts me so I have never bought an similar item). The lacquered finish lookes very polished and grown-up and the long-wearing formula fades into an very even stain.

The color is a little tricky to wear as it has enough presence to look a little off on a base makeup that's less than perfect. Sadly, it's not something that goes well with my little blemishes and acne scars (and I don't love it enough to cake on a full face of meticulously applied foundation and concealer).

Overall: The Creamy Glow lipstick in 02 is a high-quality item that gives a polished grown up feel, like something Dolores Umbridge would wear. I enjoy using it once in a while but still prefer the Creamy Glow Moist, which I find much easier to throw on.

    1. Yeah, it's quite nice when my lips aren't wrinkly and all...I will try to take it easy on the scab-picking just for lipsticks like this.

  2. That color is so lovely! I have a Creamy Glow lipstick in 10 or 11 I think that's in queue after I use up some other products first. I'm dying to see the texture for myself.

  3. Driveller Kate said it was her favorite formula and so many people love it. To me it feels really nice during application but I get I am not used to how it sits.
