Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer in Flora

Back in winter I was a little bored with all the palettes(more like my skin was so ashy-sallow that most shades look like mud on me), I diverted my attention to lipsticks instead. I liked Shiseido Tender Sheer so I reckon I can order another on Amazon.

This is a newer packaging for the Tender Sheer (old version is glossy brown black with silver interior). I like it quite a bit, it's nice to hold without collecting a bunch of fingerprints, oil or sweat. On the lipstick bullet there is Shiseido, Tokyo, Ginza, which is nicely located as it will stay till the very end (of lipstick).
RD205 is a sheer coral red with golden shimmer. The texture is light and glossy. It's easy to slip on but not too slippery that it travels outside of my mouth.
Maquillage PK372, Flora and Maybelline (not even close but I tried) Orange Attitude. The sheer red seeps onto my skin on my arm (because my arm is lighter) but not on lips.
On the lips, Flora is sheer, brightening and rather easy to wear (ok with bare face). I can feel the small gritty glitter but it's not bothersome.

Overall: It behaves the way a highend (it's in the 25-dollar range and often cheaper on Amazon) so I am pretty happy with it. The qualify is same (formula isn't comparable)as YSL sheers but I guess sometime you just want to pay 10 bucks more for a fancier tube.

  1. That's a gorgeous color, although I have a feeling it might be like Maquillage Moist Melting Rouge, too slippery and silicone-y on my lips.

    1. Never tried the moist melting rouge but I generally prefer maquillage lippies over shiseido though, MQ really smooth up all my lip lines when shiseido tend to be thinner.

  2. I told you a while back that i was using Revlon Colorstay foundation and was glad they finally introduced a pump to the American market. Well, i've changed my tune again. As much as i liked the formula and coverage, i just couldn't get the shade to match me. It's not yellow enough which is always a problem with drugstore foundations. I was sick of mixng Buff and Sand Beige to get a more accurate match, which was still ended up very grey. So i ventured off to high end brands starting off with Mac foundations, but believe it or not, i still couldn't get my shade right with MAC foundations. I'm NC 18 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation-i have to mix NC 15 and 20 to get my shade match and i got sick of mixing it. All the other MAC foundations, i didn't like- too thick and heavy. So next up was another high end dud- Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet in B20. Expensive and still very grey. Next- Lancome Teint Idiole Ultra foundation. Same problem, no pale yellow shades in the line for me, beautiful foundation though. Next was YSL, their new reformulated YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Awakening foundation. I did find my perfect match-BD25 Warm Beige, problem is, it's super super expensive and very hard to find as it was sold out everywhere, had to call around to see which stores had it. So forget YSL. So after reading some beauty blogs, i came across a new foundation that Shiseido have out, Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation. Now that got me excited. Japanese brand, gotta be some yellow shades in the lineup for me. The first shade i bought was Golden 2, which was too light for me. So i got the next one up, Golden 3- but that was too dark. Face palm. i decided to try again for the third time and last time with Shiseido, i got NEUTRAL 2 and OMG hallelujah i found the perfect shade!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy, i want to jump on the couch, Tom Cruise style. So yeah, i'm a happy Shiseido girl now.

    1. Lol, Tom Cruise must be happy that you still remember that act ...I don't love Shiseido (international) as much as I like their drugstore daughter brands but I am a faithful convert of their foaming cleanser for years (almost a decade). I might try their BB cream if I ever find them in Costco though.

  3. Lolz, I'm old school. I'm actually a really big fan of Tom Cruise, I still can't get over him despite everything about him. You know you're a hardcore fan when you google someone on your lunch break.. I also purchased the ibuki gentle cleanser when i bought the foundation. The sales lady was going hard on me, and I really didn't want to get it...there's a free gift with purchase offer going on so I caved in. It's surprisingly good. You only need a pea size and it foams up like a bubble bath! Another good thing from Shiseido is the foundation brush. It's the bomb. It works really well with the synchro foundation. I bought 2 so I can alternate, use one and wash one. I really like the synchro foundation, it has got good coverage and looks like skin, not makeup.
