Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball - Sigh

Finally getting to the last item in the Introductory Kit - Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball is a range of semi-sheer lipstick that flashes teal.
The tube is a metal with rubberized coating (same as Saint formula), it has an inner sleeve inside the lid (no scratching) and it hasn't turn sticky yet. So far most of the Lipstick Queen are unscented but this smells a little like mechanical grease.

Sigh is a sheer dusty plum with ample amount of teal shimmer. Not loving shimmer in lip products, I suspected this would be the dud in the set(well, can't count on everything to work out when you get these value sets). It turned a little better than expected.
While the teal shimmers in the Butterfly Ball show up exceptionally well right after application, they are quite fine and break in just after a few minutes (looking more natural). At the end, it just looks like a sheer murky plum with a thin formula that's somewhat glossy and comfortable.
This one looks more purple. Sometime the shimmers travel around my mouth when my lips are dry.

Overall: I don't like it as much as the other two in the set but I still think it's a lovely formulation and all that. Now I just need to venture more into the saint formula and start wearing the Endless Summer one.

  1. Agree. I love the Saint formula best, then all other formulas second. But overall, for one brand of lipstick there's a lot to love. I don't like the Sinner formula but I don't like full-pigment matte-finish lipsticks, period. This color looks great on you!

    1. I am not heading the sinner route either! Anyway, I am still debating what to buy for my second saint, maybe a dusty brownish rose (azuki bean color)? Maybe I should just give the pink more love.

    2. They do have a Saint Berry that I'm eyeing ^.^

  2. Hrm, it pulls quite pink. I guess it won't be the warm berry I'm looking for, since my lips tend to emphasize the pink in colors.
I will have to check out the Saint formula first.

    1. Suqqu akanebara is warmer (the stick looks brownish red but it is a berry on the lips) so you might like that, in fact, I think akanebara is the reason I won't reach for sigh (well, the packaging for sigh is gummy and I don't like glimmer in lipstick, no matter how fine).

    2. Sigh, I'm unable to justify the Suqqu price tag so I'll keep looking :) I need to find a place where I can try on Lipstick Queen in person.

    3. Hear hear! Lipstick queen saint is the best formula I have tried so far (though I really havent tried many more expensive lipsticks)and even revlon plum was a really nice one with formula just as good as suqqu, but its hard to find plum that doesn't pull magenta on me, especially from Western brands.
