Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious was purchased late last year (I have a habit of getting at least one of any new coral offering from Revlon). I wasn't sure what I was expecting (as the only Matte Revlon lipstick I got, Stormy Pink, was a waxy mess) but I thought a matte coral-pink would be a flirty spring-summer shade that isn't too saccharine.
Mostly matte coral side by side: Audacious, Max Factor Sweet Tart (discontinued 4 years ago), Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 109, and Milani Gloss in Fruit Punch. Audacious is quite unique in my stash, even compared to the ones with sheer glossy formula. The bold watermelon pink has very good color pay off but I personally find the formula a little waxy, thick and crumbly (that it feels like mask laying on top of my skin). BBoth Rimmel and Max Factor has noticeably creamier formula that sit better on the skin.
Lip swatch of  - Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious. The color looks happy (admittedly strangely bright on my skin tone) and you can see the crumbs on the corner of my mouth. If I remember it correctly, it has that minty smell that I do like. Overall: Color was pretty but I feel that it would be more flattering it comes in the Balm Stain or Lacquer Balm formula.
Anyway, there a cute display I found at Walgreesn with three testers so I went ahead and played with them for a bit. So far, The lacquer balm is my favorite formula of the three as it's comfortable, moisturizing and look jelly-like.

    1. I got the orange one for the lacquer balm (surprise?), it just seems that sheer bold orange looks a little weird. If I gotten a matte one for orange and a sheer for coral-pink, I think it will work out really well.

  3. I totally almost bought this color to wear it the Korean inner lip faded out way, but I think it's a bit too bright for me
