Wet n Wild Spotlight Red Megalast Lipstick

Spotlight Red is my fourth and least favorite one of the Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick, who knows that the formula varies so greatly across the same range. Basically, the shade everything I expect a cheap lipstick to be: thin, slippery and highly transferable. The seemly neutral red turns scary cherry immediately as it touches my skin.
Spotlight Revlon, Revlon Adore Balm Stain, Jordana Sweet Strawberry and Carmex Sheer Berry Tint. I know people praise this line for its high pigmentation (and what else?) but I never don't see how difficult it is to slap some pigment in a chunk of wax...I mean, the cheapest glittery fuchsia lipstick from the dollar store has a "rich pigmentation" like this. As for the Mega Last part, they just mean that (as well all bright lipstick) this will leave a stain that takes forever to be washed off.
Wet n Wild Spotlight Red - I tried really hard but it's just impossible to make it stay within the lip boundary without some pin-point-precision brush. I should have reviewed this a week earlier since you will get a wonderful Uncle McDonald pout (for Halloween) without even trying.

  1. I've been looking into red lipsticks lately and I think I'm going to try the Maybelline 24hr one since it is more long lasting. I just wish my skin would clear up so I could wear dark lipsticks :/

    1. I think a layer of Revlon balm stain with lip butter makes a nice bold (and comfortable red). I do have a max factor matte red lipstick that I like a lot, but it has been discontinued. Anyway, my face is kind of clearing up (from the over-picking) so I am thankful there is only one active zit on my face at the moment, not sure how long it's going to last though...Damn those hormones.
