In case you can't tell, I am kind of loving the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick formula...
Coral Shimmer is a sheer coral with a lot of shimmer (that have a tendency to travel outside my lips). The texture of this particular shade is a little bit on the gritty side that I had to pick a good lips day to wear it so the shimmery would get caught in the dead skin flabs...Anyway, if the condition of your lips is alright, this lipstick wouldn't give you that much of a trouble to wear. 
The texture of the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Coral Shimmer is thin and fine that it leaves an even layer of golden peach shimmer (which is abundant enough to impart a bit of color even though the lipstick itself is somewhat sheer). As for the moisturizing and renewing parts, I frankly don't think there is any of them. In fact, the somewhat gritty texture of the lipstick gives a very slight, itchy and...drying feel. I don't think it's that big of a deal since I never took the "moisturizing goodness" seriously anyway.
Overall: A lip color that looks great with a tan and under the sun (and you are better off getting the "moisture" somewhere else).

ReplyDeleteWell, I never wear more than one thing for my swatches/ reviews (unless it's a lip combo or the product is incredibly difficult to work with)because sometime lip balm would dilute the color and/or makes the color harder to get on.
Most of the time I just swatch when my lips condition is alright(and avoild those bloody lips days).

ReplyDeleteI was surfing through pictures of the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick and I saw this one. I exited out of that one and started reading your blog. I like how you get right to the point. Anyways, the person who inspired me to buy this was Macbarbie07 on Youtube. She made it sound flawless, so I put this product on my birthday list. But I absolutely love the color!!!! It's disapointing that it's gritty though.

Citrine, thank you for writing me back! I FINALLY got the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick!!! I'm absolutely loving the color but it's not too gritty like i thought it would be. But you were right, you might as well put a chapstick on to get the moisture. Alright enough of me sounding like a geek. Lol :)
