I was in Sephora a few weeks ago and saw these cute lip stain crayons (the cord is a made of a semi-opaque gel stick)by Tarte.

These peppermint scented Tarte lipstain feel light and balmy while giving off a soft shine and faint tint. For 24 dollars a piece, I would rather go for an actual lipstick by Nars/Illamasqua or just pay 6 more dollars for Guerlain Kisskiss Baby.

You are hilarious--I cracked up at your comment that "If that actually happens, the cells on your lips will burst due to the osmotic pressure..." I tried on these stains at Sephora, and they're nice, but I definitely don't think they hydrate lips at all.

Actually I don't think I am that picky (I still like some perfectly boring cheap stuff) it's just now I have tried several products I get a bid jaded (especially on sheer products that would all look the same on the face) and I want the price/performance/packaging to at least level up...
I actually don't have many HG at the moment(I have many stuff I like )but there are several items I kept going back to
- Babypink Lipgloss (overpriced in US so Lancome Juicy tube would be a nice "cheap" alternative)
- Anna Sui Rouge S - Looks awesome under gloss
- Jook yeom (bamboo salt)toothpaste
- Teen Spirit strawberry deodorant
- Burt's Bees lip balm
- Sally Hansen gentle plumping gloss (they are 1.50at big lots right now)
