Welcome to another episode of Ancient Artifact of last decade. I got this Shiseido Eyebrow Compact back in 2015. By that time Creative genius Dick Page (who momentarily rescued the brand from from Auntieland) was no longer artistic director. It didn't matter that much to me since the lipstick colors weren't exactly flattering on me anyway.
Anyway, the brand still had some classics and the eyebrow powder was one of them. Eyebrow Styling Compact is a moderatly firm (easy to grab color but doesn't kick off a lot of powder) duo color brow powder, with a generous size mirror and a applicator that's quite handy.
And I do love the old Shiseido packaging from 2005-2015 (went from brownish metallic to simple black). To be fair the current one is actually quite nice too, but it's difficult to find a shade I like enough to buy...
BR602 is a taupe brow duo (the third swipe is both shade mixed together) that can be either to achieve a definite (ahem, angular) shade or a softer look if I apply in tiny strokes. The attached applicator gives too wide of a stroke so I usually use the brow brush from Shu Uemura for a lighter hand.
The palette is a little too deep for my liking (I usually like my eyebrow to be a little less deep conpared to my eyecolor, since I don't have to bone structure to pull off strong and thick brows) but none the less it's a pretty solid product to play with.
I am always tempted to try new brow products but my lazy ass will probably stick w brow pencils and spoolies
ReplyDeleteI love my prestige marblized brow pencil! I wish I have gotten several backup...Anyway,I do think brow powder looks more polished and dressy.
DeleteOh my god I haven't bought Prestige brand stuff in so long. I shall check it out at Rite Aid (although I still have 2 brand new pencils in my drawer right now -_- those 50% of Anastasia flash sales always get me)
DeleteHave you tried the Kate brow powder? It seems popular in China
