Chicca Mesmeric Lipstick 13 - Cherry Mauve

Every brand makes sheer lipstick, but somehow I can't stop reaching for/thinking about Chicca. The brand lured me with its simple yet meticulous design but the formula was what won me over. After having tried 06 Lucent Red (a permanent resident of my bag), I reached out my grabby hands for more. It took me a while before I could use it because...
It's called Cherry Mauve, of course it needs a fancy backdrop! As you can tell from its residency (my bag), Chicca mesmeric lipsticks hits me at all the right spot: Beautiful design (that doesn't scream "Guys, look at my expensive lipstick!") that feels great on the hand; Attractive shade selection; A light weight gel texture that retains its integriduring the coldest and driest of time.
Can't see the silver glimmer here but that's the whole point, understated elegance and nobody but you knows that you dropped $$$ on this.
For my second purchase, I went for 13 Cherry Mauve (a kind of shade I have a love hate relationship with, I love the color but a good deal of them turned auntie magenta on me). From the tube, it's a slightly muted purple mauve without any trace of shimmer.

Cherry Mauve, Wet n Wild Gel Lip Balm in Love (more purple and glossier) and Suqqu Kanbotan (looking full on grandma magenta here, which it kind of is)
Guess what, cherry mauve stays true to its color on my mouth!

Btw. The black thing is a dust on the sensor, not a new acne scar (I got enough already).
As always, I love the unique light gel texture that's weightless and hydrating. I can't say it's better than other sheer formula out there but then again, I can't find a luxury lipstick that out performs Chicca.

One more to go (I got my warm red, mauve and cool red is next), I will try very hard not getting and orange or coral one.

    1. Get lucent red! It's best selling shade for a reason...While I can't say the lipstick is better than canmake stay on balm rouge but the way they do colors and texture is quite something something...(I got lucent red in the same order as Lunasol cherry red and it just makes cherry red seem so basic...)

    2. But but but there are sooo many colors! Have you found a good source for online swatches?

    3. No, I only found random ones floating around google and Instagram. I feel like the picture of actually lipstick is more helpful so I can weed out glittery ones...

    4. Oh! Which ones are glittery, please do tell? I'd like to weed those out myself!

    5. It looks like 7, 8, 9,10 have obvious glitter from the color board (and it corresponds to the official Instagram account image). I usually go for bolder color because the very clear formula.. lighter shades would not show up. For me I didn't need that much research since I don't need 5 different shades of warm red/pink, one from each color family is good enough...

    1. It's good for the(ir) economy *wink*... Anyway, Cherry mauve is an OK color though, I wish I went with 05 lotus pink instead.
