Milani News Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Gloss Lip Pencil

It's that time of the year again (seasonal clearance) so to follow the tradition, I picked up a few toys as they are being cleared out in CVS. Milani Lip Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Gloss Lip Pencil in News Flash (a little under 2 bucks as it's 75% off) is a nice blend of brown, red and purple infused with fuchsia and blue micro glitters, the particles are fine enough that they neither appear frosty nor feel uncomfortable. The shade is also the closest drugstore shades to a true vamp (than just plum or wine).
Milani News Flash, Anna Sui 501 (probably discontinued a long time but it still smells fresh), Maybelline Plum Shine. Ok, the Milani lip pencil was extra intense because it broke off the base as soon as I touched it (I am guessing the indoor is just overheated), so I ended up spreading the mini glob of product on my arm and lips with finger instead.
Swatch of Milani News Flash Lip Pencil (the uneven spot did smooth out quickly) - It's shiny but not in a high gloss, wet way. I would definitely not call it full-coverage as claimed, maybe they just don't get the difference between color intensity and actual coverage. On the bright side, the shine/color only faded a bit (maybe 25%) after 3 hours of wear, which is impressive.

Overall: I think I need to head to CVS back for more.
