Wet n Wild Spring 2011 Makeup Collection

2010 seems to be the year that Wet n Wild is getting serious about their makeup (they released a bunch of items, quite a few interesting limited edition and changed to a classier, more substantial-looking packaging) but it's also the year I started to lose interest toward the brand...I guess they didn't focus on eye makeup, something I am not that into.

For the year of 2011, Wet n Wild released six new Color Icon eyeshadow trios. My favorite (first impression) would be " I dream of Greenie" which has a beautiful lime green and a seafoam green (I am not sure how to use it though/palettes overwhelm me in general).
If it were 3 years ago, I would scream at the sight of these Fastdry nail polish (Not that I love fastdrying nail products). I remember back then "wacky" shades are not oftenly released by drugstore brand and I had to chip in 7 bucks for OPI when I want something that's not red, beige or pink. Now, I just think that those colors are boring, with the oh-so-common satin finish.

New Glossy Gloss - (beside the clear one) all contains shimmer...again, nothing special.Wait...there is actually something I like about the collection.

The makeup on the model is quite interesting...I guess the eyeshadow could be from one of their new trios but where are those liquid eyeliner, creamy peachy gloss and bronze glitters from? I didn't see anything like those in the collection...

  3. Where have you found their display? I looked at Riteaid, Walgreens and Bartell's Drugs, and while they did have a part of it (which I wasn't interested in) at Walgreens, everywhere else there's no sign of the new collection...

  4. Rocaille:
I saw these at Walgreens (but they haven't gotten the 8-pan palettes yet) but I guess they have to clear out the space before getting more stock. I read in a magazine (it's either teenvogue or seventeen) that these palettes are Walgreen/Target exclusive so I guess it's reasonable that you haven't seen it elsewhere.

  5. I am very interested in the new eye shadow trios. I was at my local Wal-Mart last weekend and all of the new shades were gone already...annoying! I am hoping next time I am there they have gotten in more. I did manage to scoop up a new nail polish though - it's a very dark purple with a boysenberry glitter in it.

    Their glosses look interesting.
