Tell you the truth, I am not a big fan of Maybeline, I've had tried several products from the brand and I like none of them. The eye shadow was chalky, the mascara smudges (even the waterproof ones), the lip gloss wear off more quickly than the roller lip gloss from Bonnie Bell, the mousse eye shadow was nothing but a layer of white frost...
But, maybe I am biased...So I decided to give their newer lip gloss a try.
Maybeline Shine Seduction Glossy Lip Color in Champagne Fizz. A shimmery pinkish nude color that is difficult to go wrong.
The lip gloss is dispensed from the poked plastic applicator by twisting the end...The design has been used by several companies like Too Faced, Hard Candy and L'Oreal and I found it pretty convenient if you want to layer it with other colors.
Super glossy, shine seduction? This is just another lousy sheer gloss with some pathetic shimmer (that doesn't show at all) the finish isn't glossy at all and the faint shine lasts around 15 minutes at the most. I mean, if I want to look like I just had some water, why don't I just drink some...Or spend 3 dollars on a tube of Bonnie Bell for a much better scent, more products...

I hate glosses that are packed in a bizarre way, 'cause I like to be able to use up every last drop of product :-P. So I don't like this ;D.
ReplyDeleteI won't buy any more Maybelline 'cause it tests on animals and I'm trying to be more of a caring consumer (though to be honest, it's easier to give up Maybelline than L'Oreal or Lancome >:-D), but I own a few of their lipsticks and some shadows (a blue duo, and 2 quads - Emerald Isle and Sapphire Ice), and I really like those :). Especially the quads.
I wish we had Wet & Wild here, they don't test on animals and are even cheaper than Maybelline :(.

I actually swore off Maybeline altogether...since I would be much better off with a big burrito and soft drink as opposite to having this kind of no-shine, no-seduction...Seriously, they could call Shirley Temple Dita Von Teese if people name thing the Maybeeline way...
