I love the lipsticks from Lunasol and it just occured to me that I have stayed away from their permanent line...Nothing wrong with them, the shade selection just appears to be a little more mature and more boring-OL compared to the brighter limited shades. A year or two ago, when brownish red were all the rage (and I am a shameless trend follower) Lunasol released several Autumnal warm spice kind of shade...I got this because...Fashun.
46 Soft Brown Red is a creamy Chocolate Brown with a red base. There are visible silver but they don't bother me since Japanese brand usually keep it subtle anyway.
As I swiped it across my wrist...I gasped. Oh lord this is an opaque (yup that's some hardcore white base right there) creamy brown with ton of noticeable silver shimmer. The shimmer is so abundant that the finish is almost frosty. While I am all for nostalgia. Frosty lipstick is something that I will never go back to...
While the formula is creamy and smooth and the shimmer might give an illusion of fuller lips, this particular shade is really dated. Well, I will stick to their limited edition shades next.
Yup, I could barely wear this color myself. It seems the newer colors in this range all have some white base and a different formula, but they feel different, pigmented, and opaque. I stopped buying them :(
ReplyDeleteBoo...I guess now chicca (originally designed for older women) is gone, they put lunasol as the grandma brands but their lipstick are full of shimmer (sonething older women can't wear anyway).
DeleteAw it looks nice. I guess the color itself is more mature
ReplyDeleteI got MAC Chili bc it’s a well known brown red but I don’t actually like it much
I think I have gotten too many brown red just because it was trendy...but there arent many that I truly like. Canmake earl grey leaf is one that stood out while others are just meh...
DeleteI remeber chilli was really popular for that kpop star look because it 显白or something.
Haha ya it’s trendy but doesn’t suit my complexion! I liked ruby woo a lot more
