I bought this tube of Apicare manuka therapy 30% honey creme at Marshall's almost a year ago, for a relative who just wanted a "moisturizer" (I took it as "anything" so I just got this, not it only has that kind of foreign appeal, it also looked kind of natural and cool...). Anyway, the aunt said it gave her little bumps on her face so she ended up letting me have it.
This is a tube of moisturizer has an interesting textures that's between a gel, cream and paste. There is 30% honey and its behaviors show: The strong sweet smell is the first thing expected. In warmer weather, it has a medium-runny texture and a golden-amber color but in cooler times, it's creamier and becomes mostly opaque.
A pea-sized glob is sufficient for the whole face and it's actually not sticky or oily at all (even when I use more than a tiny glob). It's not too effective as a deep moisturizer as it dries matte/weightlessly but I did notice more even skin texture (basically the skin over acne scars fell off in bigger chunks so there is less overall dry-weather induced flakiness). I also noticed zero-break out when I started using it but it could be because I stopped drinking soda/visiting fast-food (I got a half cooked burger at Wendy's and I have been too grossed out...) Overall: I like it for cooler months but I am too lazy to use it now (the shorts season is already here...Sighs).
