Rimmel The Only 1 Lipsticks in Naughty Nude and Peachy Beachy

Rimmel The Only 1 lipstick was a range released back in spring, marketed as a pigmented comfortable formula that also with some moisturizing benefits. So, it claims to be a pretty generic lipstick that doesn't suck(away the moisture).
Packaging is plastic with a slightly fanned out cap(which gives a crisp enough of a click). There is no peeping window but the colored ban shows the lipstick color fairly accuratly.
Naughty Nude is a medium to deep mauve rosy nude.  I was hoping the color to be more brown toned (I don't need a bunch of grandma mauves) but I suppose at least it isn't hideous.
The formula is indeed creamy, comfortable  while packing a bunch of pigment. There is a bit of glossy slip with the opaque formula (not a combo I love) but at least it's very easy to swipe on straight from the bullet. To  accommodate the squishable formula, there ia no room for the bullet to wobble anyway.
I think there are two coral shades in the range, I went with the warmer and lighter Peachy Beachy since the other is that opaque punchy red (that oftenly looks garish on my skintone).  Guess what, with the help of the pasty formula, Peachy Beachy ended up showing up garish anyway.
It seems that Peachy Beachy has a chalky formula (neon brights are harder to do than mauve) that sinks into the cracks and crevices of the mouth. While it looks it's sucking the moisture out of my mouth, I ensure you that it's still rather comfortable on(maybe it's the humidity).
Overall. These are decent drugstore lipstick in the current standard( nothing like the goodies that were released from 2010 to 2014). They do exactly what they promise to do but I find both the way the formula sits (a tad thick) and the colors (either too generic or unflattering) less than desirable. They are quite affordable and certainly usable. I just don't see myself reaching for them in the future.

  1. I got Peachy Beachy totally on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Not my go to either but I do like it

    1. I saw your review! My main problem is that I have so many coral (this shade is hardly unique in my stash) that I will reach for ones with nicer texture and packaging. I bought Too Faced lip cream (a creamy lipstick) in Bon Bon for a little more (it was nine bucks) and the shade is very similar, but better.

Now I feel bad buying product that's only used once...Especially lipsticks goes bad more quickly than eyeshadow...
