Essence Twilight Breaking Dawn Makeup Collection

Finally a Essence Limited Edition display (the last one we had was back in March) for The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part Two. OMG, Kristen Steward is finally having an expression (smirk still counts)! But...why is Taylor Launtner fully dressed?
The collection is pretty Vampire Theme with murky black/purple and bloody red (with glitter) gloss. Golden highlighter and lipstick (so you will glisten like Edward under the sun). Some nail color and eyeliner.
My favorite part is the eyeshadow pigments (I swatched them and thought they would be too much of a hassle to use) and the red blush.
Swatches of the lipstick and eyeshadow pigment. Since I was at ULTA, I grabbed a tiny glob of Too Faced shadow insurance and applied it on my arm, then glide the tester tubes on my arm. A piece of Forever is a nice champagne taupe that would make a nice allover lid shade. Alice had a Vision Again and Jacob's Protection both stained a little when I used it with the primer.

Swatches of the blush/highlighter and eyeliner can be found here.

    1. There was one brand called Volturi (Google tells me it's some vampire clan in the movie) available in ULTA with lots of glitter to emulate the Edward's glittery skin...Needless to say, it sold very little before ending up in the clearance basket.

  2. Hi, I was wondering: where you're from?
I'm asking this to see if this collection is out in Canada yet!

Great blog, thanks for the swatches.

    : ) thanks!

  3. think about it - the movie spends the entire time glorifying DEATH - leading teens who are often suicidal, unhappy, borderline psychotic, thinking that if only they could cross over into the death realm, all their problems will be solved. no thanx

    1. I personally don't think it's about death (since vampires live forever...)it's more like a fulfillment of Stephanie Meyer's own fantasies/wet dream about having immortal, dedicated, faithful (who stayed virgin for 100+ years. lol) and handsome lover who glitters under sun . Judging from its popularity, It much echo with a lot of young girls (and their moms)...I found the movie (only watched the first one) hilarious and the book (read a few chapters from New Moon)boring but I don't mind some vampy/red themed makeup inspired by it...
