Currently Reading and Currently Liking

Happy May Day (I guess only communist countries celebrate this?) everyone...While we didn't have any April shower here in central Texas, I have got some May flowers (that I took back in March)!
Plum blossoms in my neighborhood that smell so good!

That's it for the reading part, here are some of my current favorite:
1. Shopping for vintage (Chinese) jade pieces on the evil bay.
A antique Qing Dynasty jade (green nephrite) butterfly pendant
An actual butterfly resting on flower
2. slightly lighter/pinker lips.Actually what I am really liking is pale pink cheeks but the amount of blush I use never show up in camera...

Sally Hansen Color Comfort lipstick in Perfect Pink with Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss in Pearly Pink on top.Bright coral and red still has my heart but I find soft pink pretty compatible with the other face products I have been using everyday (Benefit Dandelion and Mac Moon river).

3.Brow Products
Prestige Ideal match marbleized brow pencil (I picked the lighter shade of the two) is nothing short of perfection.

4. Synthetic blush brush
Thanks to these cruelty-free brushes that are also easy-to-wash, I have been wearing a lot of blush (when I say "wearing a lot", I mean "wearing")lately.Which also means that there would be more reviews on blushes here!

5. "Fancy" hair elastic that look OK as bracelet
Hair tie like this would keep me cool outdoor and "stylish" when I need my hair down in an overly air conditioned room. Of course this is nothing compared to those adorable scrunchies found in (and on, as freebie) Japanese magazine but it's pretty much as good as it can get.

6.The lime color of the newly released Sony Cyber-shot W530
Note to self, I don't need another point and shoot...It's time to venture into the DSLR zone now. Anyway,I am still looking around for good lenses and more importantly, good deals on those.

That's all from me, do you have any current favorites that you like to share?

  1. Please do a swatch of the Prestige Brow Pencil! I wonder if it could be a cheaper alternative to my HG Shu Uemura Brow Pencil?? I love it so much, but it's way too expensive to keep on repurchasing!

  3. RitaGrl:
I will try to get it done in a week or two. (I will also review other drugstore eye brow pencils I have. I think many people like the Shu Uemura pencil because its semi-dry texture that's hard to overdo, the reason I like Prestige is more because of its shade, texture (it's not dry but not creamy/oily either) as well as the spoolie that come with it.

    Ami:
I have been wearing a lot of the neutrogena blush as well (I have the pink one called fresh which I got three years ago), it has such a nice texture.
